Thorn Simnitt, DMD Dentist Hillsboro
I am so excited to be back in Oregon and the area where I grew up! I’m a 4th generation Oregonian, and a former patient at Century Dental. After graduating from Beaverton High School, I completed my Bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University, and received my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.
While there, I was class president and an executive leader in the University’s chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry. I have been practicing dentistry in Alaska for 4 years and my wife and I decided to return to the great state of Oregon. I feel beyond lucky to join the state-of-the-art team that inspired me to become a dentist in the first place. I am passionate about providing a superior patient experience and helping people to reach their oral health care goals.
Prior to dental school, I spent two years in full time missionary service in Southern Florida and I have since performed dental missionary work treating underserved populations in the Philippines and South Carolina. I love expanding my skills and knowledge through continuing education and am currently in progress to complete my Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This path has provided additional training in oral surgery, implant dentistry and orthodontics.
My wife, JoAnna, is a labor and delivery nurse, and we have two little girls. When I’m not helping patients achieve their ideal smile, I enjoy the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, serving at church, and spending time with my daughters.
I look forward to meeting each of you in person and it will be my pleasure to serve you as part of the Century Dental Team! |
